An update...finally

Things have been a bit crazy around here the last few months, hence the lack of blogging! I am trying to catch up on things before things get totally crazy around here, so here we go...

Most of you, if not all of you, know we are expecting our second baby in late November. As much as I wish I could say this pregnancy was going better then the first; well, lets just say it has been an adventure! I am not having the painful complications I had with Charlotte's pregnancy, but have been having other more scary complications. I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and have been having contractions off and on since 24 weeks. A few weeks back the contractions were coming as much as every 4-6 minutes. The good news is the doctors are still saying that in spite of all the activity, the baby looks healthy and is growing right on schedule, and as of right now it looks like they can keep me pregnant for a while longer! We have been praying every day that God would allow me to stay pregnant as long as needed and also for peace over the situation. We have made a conscious decision not to live in a spirit of fear, but one of hope and peace knowing that what ever happens is in another hands.

So what does all this mean... I have to take it easy most days. This is not an easy task with an almost 20 month old running around the house, but we are making things work! Having to keep my happy butt on the couch for long periods during the day has given ample opportunity for Charlotte and I to read every book she owns over and over and over again! She loves every moment of it! She has began to notice the baby bump ( aka small basketball protruding from my belly) and gives it hugs and kisses and even an occasional "hi baby." It is very sweet!

What else has Charlotte been doing over the last few weeks....TALKING! She is talking, talking, talking, and oh did I mention she is TALKING?!?! It is actually quite fun to listen to all those precious words coming out of her mouth. We can even understand about 80% of what she says most days. It is so nice that she can finally just tell us what she needs or wants.

What else has Charlotte been up to these days...
Reading the Sunday paper with dad...Reading a few good books...
Making a very big mess with things like yogurt...yummy Oh, did we mention reading a few good books... Are you getting the idea we do this A LOT?Charlotte is such a happy girl. We love her so much and are blessed beyond measure to have her in our lives. Her bubbly spirit and spunky yet sweet nature keep us smiling and laughing! How can you not smile when she is saying "Hi," at the top of her lungs, to every single person in the grocery store. Even better, how can you not laugh when the person in the grocery store doesn't respond, and Charlotte doesn't loose hart just gets louder! It is fun to watch her put smiles on all kinds of faces! I mean really, what did we do for entertainment before Charlotte!
