Learning to play!

Charlotte is changing every day. It is amazing to watch her grow and learn, and grow and learn she is doing!!! Just this past week she has discovered TOYS!!! She is reaching and grabbing and all kinds of toys...it is so fun! She is even playing in the bath tub! It was so sweet to watch her splash in the water have a good old time!

Charlotte is starting to actually like "tummy time," these days. It isn't her favorite place to be, by far, but she is learning it isn't so bad! Here are a few quick picture I snapped the other day. Sorry for all the red eye, I will have to figure out what is up with my camera.

Talking Talking Talking

Okay, we are going to try this. This is a short video I took last week with my phone. The picture is HORRIBLE, but turn up your speakers! Charlotte is talking talking talking these days and it is wonderful!!! Here she is talking to her daddy and making faces! Too cute!

Spring Time In Colorado

We got a bit of a surprise when we woke up yesterday morning. Spring time in the Rockies is a bit unpredictable, but this is just craziness!!! Olive playing in the snow...
So, even though we LOVE the snow, we are so ready for SPRING!!!!

Getting so big!!!

Charlotte is growing like crazy and has reached a few milestones this past week. First, she rolled over!!!! I was surprised to say the least, but so excited! Secondly, she is lifting her head up like a champ!!! Thirdly, she is turning herself around! I put her in her crib at night, facing the head of her bed, and when we get her up in the morning she is turned sideways!!! It is so fun to watch her learning and growing! I will post more pictures later, but here is one I took with my phone yesterday!

Bumbo!!

Charlotte got two new special things today! Verna and I went to a children's consignment store here in town and found two great finds...a Bumbo chair and a Johnny Jumper! The jumper will have to wait to be used, but the Bumbo can be used now! It is a special chair that allows her to sit up all by herself! She was smiling and looking around, I think the world looks different from this new position! Here she is in her new chair...what a big girl!!!

Handmade Treasures

I have been pulling out a few handmade treasures that we received for Charlotte. It has been fun to see all the special gifts and know all the time and heart that went into each and every one of them. Here are a few pictures of some of them...

This is a little dress that was made by Charlotte's Great Aunt Grace. Carmen, Charlotte's aunt, wore this dress when she was a baby!

I just had to add this last picture. She is happy in this picture, believe it or not...this is her thinking face!!! This is the face she gives us when she is trying really hard to figure something out. She was quite fixated on the camera! I just had to show it off...She is quite the thinker already!!
We have enjoyed all the special gifts we recieved for our sweet baby girl. We are so blessed!

Two!!!

Charlotte is two months old now!!! She is changing so much and so fast it is amazing. I took a few pictures today that turned out quite cute, but I thought first we would look back at how much she has changed!

She is growing and changing so much. We are excited to see her sweet personality coming out! Her smiles just light up our days...we are truly blessed!!!

First Easter...

Happy Easter to everyone! We had a wonderful Easter hanging out with my brother and sister-in-law Mike and Patsy, and John's mom and dad Dan and Verna. We had a wonderful dinner and then watched the movie The Blind Side. Charlotte had a good first Easter, although slept through the majority of it! We did manage to take a few pictures of her late in the afternoon. She was all dressed up for Easter, so it seemed fitting to take a few pictures.

Our big girl is two months old as of Saturday! She is growing so fast, it is hard to believe. She has her two month appointment on Tuesday, we will post another update after that appointment. Both John and I are anxious to see where she falls on the growth charts. To us, she seems so big compared to what she was at birth, but everyone else keeps saying she is so little. We will see what they say on Tuesday!

Spring is coming!!!

We have enjoyed a few days of nice weather this week. It has been wonderful to get outside in the sunshine and take in some fresh air! Charlotte even got to wear here very first little sundress, I was very excited! Here are a few pictures from our week!

Charlotte is trying so hard to become a thumb sucker...I am not giving up get, she still takes a pacifier! Check out our BLUE eyed girl!! Her eyes are really turning more and more blue every day!

Now that Charlotte can hold her head up about 80% of the time, John has taken to doing a circus act with Charlotte! Okay, maybe it isn't a circus act, but it sure gets my heart pounding!!
